🛠️ How to Set Up Your Dashboard with SimHub

Welcome to the MOS Dashboard Setup Guide! This step-by-step tutorial will walk you through installing SimHub, understanding the differences between the free and paid versions, and correctly installing the required configuration files for full dashboard functionality.

🧩 Step 1: Install SimHub

Go to the official SimHub website:

Download and install the latest version of SimHub.

Launch SimHub after installation.

📥 Step 3: Download Required Files

You’ll need two configuration files:

  • MOS_Dash_3.5S.ledprofile – Controls the LED behavior
  • MOS_Dash_3.5S.shdevice – Dash board configuration
  • MOS_Dash_3.5S.shdevicetemplate– Dash board template

👉 Download Config Files and extract the folder


📂 Step 4: Install Config Files

  1. LED Profile
    • Open SimHub → ArduinoProfile Manager -> LED Profiles
    • Click Import Profile and select the .ledprofile file
    • Click Load
  2. Enable LEDs
    • Inside Arduino -> go to My Hardware tab
    • Select Single arduino or Multiple arduinos
    • Make sure that the dash board is connected via the provided USB cable
    • Simhub should recognize the LEDs in the dashboard (showing am MOS Dash 3.5s device with RGB leds from 1 to 16 in connectd status)
  3. Add device template to Simhub
    • open the file *.shdevicetemplate
    • it should open simhub and install the device template
    • you must restart simhub
  4. Dashboard Device
    • Go to DevicesImport device from file
    • and choose the .shdevice file

⚙️ Step 5: Device Settings for Optimal Performance

To ensure your MOS dashboard works correctly:

  1. Disable Dithering Filter
    • Go to Devices > MOS Dash 3.5S > Screen Settings
    • make sure to Uncheck Dithering Filter
  2. Enable Partial Refresh (Partial Draws)
    • In the same menu, make sure Partial Draws is enabled
    • This allows faster and smoother updates

🚨 These two steps are critical. If skipped, the dashboard may lag or display will not work.
